Laurie H. Hamano, M.Ed., CRC

Ms. Hamano earned a Master's Degree in Education (M.Ed.) from Oregon State University. She is a nationally certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC) and is also registered in the State of Hawaii to counsel injured workers. She has been awarded the Hawaii Rehabilitation Counseling Association's "Rehabilitation Counselor of the Year" award for 1999. Prior to entering the field of private vocational rehabilitation, Ms. Hamano worked for the State of Hawaii for 8 years. Her job was to counsel furloughed inmates and assist them with job placement. As a provider of vocational rehabilitation services to injured workers for the past 20 years, Ms. Hamano has experience as both counselor and supervisor. She has assisted people with various physical and psychological injuries. She works as a vocational consultant with law firms requiring vocational evaluation and expert testimony. Presently, Ms. Hamano is President and Owner of Vocational Management Consultants.

Kirsten Harada, M.Ed., CRC

Ms. Harada received a Master's Degree in education from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1993. She has worked with individuals with a variety of injuries. She holds both national and state certification in vocational rehabilitation counseling, placement and training. These include individuals with learning, emotional, and physical challenges. She additionally has worked with individuals with head injuries. Ms. Harada is the president of I.A.R.P.S. for the year of 2003. She services clients on Maui, Molokai, and Oahu.

Claire Kusakabe, M.Ed., CRC

Ms. Kusakabe obtained a Master of Education Degree in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in the fall of 2000. Her specialty is rehabilitation counseling. She is currently serving Kauai and Oahu clients. Prior to entering the Master's programs, Ms. Kusakabe worked with a large insurance company for over 6 years as a worker's compensation claims adjuster. Ms, Kusakabe services clients on Kauai and Oahu.

Beverly Tokumine, M. Ed., CRC

Ms. Tokumine earned a Masters of Education Degree in Counseling and Guidance in 2003. She has 20 years of experience as a job developer and vocational trainer. During 11 of these 20 years, she worked independently with private vocational rehabilitation counselors. She conducted and organized group and individual job seeking programs for a variety of populations, workers compensation claimants displaced workers, and department of social services clientele. Her familiarity with and understanding of local job market is instrumental in attaining and maintaining the outstanding placement rate achieved by the V.M.C. team. Her specialty is in conducting job seeking skills and training, and assisting clients with master applications, resumes, and cover letters. Ms. Tokumine services clients on the Big Island and Oahu
